From January 1, 2023, the new minimum wage for every Ghanaian worker shall be GHC14.88 meaning you should not earn below the said amount per day.
The 2022 Minimum wage was GHC13.53 so the new Wage for 2023 is a 10% increment.
There shall also be a 15% COLA over this year’s National Daily Minimum Wage which shall be paid starting January 1, 2023.

Break Down
The COLA payment continues next year since the Cost of Living is getting worst by the day but its payment shall be pegged to this year’s National Daily Minimum Wage.
This is the minimum wage. Next is the determination of the Single Spine Salary base pay increment which is yet to be determined.

Opinion
Since the minimum wage has been increased by 10% and 15% COLA, normally the Single Spine Salary base pay increment will follow a similar trend but may be a bit higher than the minimum wage percentage
