COVID19: Government extends lockdown by one week

Government has extended the lockdown imposed on some parts of the country by one more week.

In his 6th state broadcast, President Akufo-Addo said the extension of the restrictions on movement in Greater Accra and Kasoa, as well as Greater Kumasi and its surrounding areas, takes effect from Monday, April 13, 2020, at 1 am.

He says the lockdown measures have yielded some success but since the fight is not over yet, all must bear with the government during these trying times.

According to the President, Ghana expects to run about 10,000 tests in the coming week and that will determine what actions to take going ahead.
