The Ministry for Gender, Children and Social Protection has announced free food hotlines for vulnerable groups in locked-down areas across the country.
The hotlines are 0800800800 and 0800900900.
The sector Minister, Mrs. Cynthia Morrison announced the numbers on Tuesday at a press briefing in Accra.

She said the numbers will guide the Ministry in ensuring equitable distribution of food.
She also disclosed collaborations with faith-based organizations to help in the distribution of food to some 400,000 Ghanaians.

“Government is dealing not only with the Ministry of Social Protection; we are dealing with the faith-based churches. We’ve given rice, yam, maize, tin tomatoes, oil, eggs to the faith-based churches…It is the government that has given the church food to send round,” she said.
