Public Colleges of Education are expected to run a double-track system from the 2020/21 Academic year to be able to contain new entrants from the Senior High Schools in the Country.
This was contained in reports gathered from a just-ended meeting of the Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education (PrinCoF) at Koforisua in the Eastern Region, which started from Monday, August 17, to Thursday, August 20, 2020.
The reports suggested that the government has directed that due to the unavailability of Lecture Halls and dormitory spaces at the Colleges of Education, the level 400 students and the level 100 students that will be admitted in November will report to school for 6weeks while the levels 300 and 200 stay at home.

In this regard, there shall be a changeover after the Sixth Week, of which the Level 300 and 200 students shall begin their First Semester of the 2020/21 Academic Year.
The College System
Colleges of Education which initially run a three-year Diploma in Basic Education Programme now runs a four-year Bachelor Degree Programs in Education.
In this regard, there is an increment in the number of occupants of the Colleges Campuses since students from Level 100 to 400 are expected to stay on campus.

Reopening of Colleges
It is expected that Colleges of Education in Ghana shall resume in November to begin the First Semester of the 2020/21 Academic Year.
