The Takoradi Central church of Christ has announced that it has made a cheque donation of Ghc 100,000( One Hundred Thousand Ghana Cedis) to the Ministry of Education in support of the Free Senior High School (Free SHS) programme.
The church believes the initiative will help alleviate some of the sufferings of the needy, the poor and the vulnerable in the Ghanaian society.
The church also made a pledge to offer an annual contribution towards any other government policy(ies) or programme(s) they believe in.
The Akuffo Addo government started the implementation of the Free Senior High School policy in 2017 as part of it’s campaign promises during the 2016 election.
