A Primary 2  learner of Sokode Gbogame M/A has emerged winner of the 2022 National Reading contest held in Accra.

Victoria has made her teachers, school, municipal and the entire Volta Region proud by coming first in a National contest.

Young Victoria is one of the five (5) contenders from the Sokode Gbogame MA Primary school who represented the Ho Municipal at the regional level in a reading competition.

Right from the contest in school, Victoria showed her intelligence and excelled greatly. She then made it to the Municipal where she did the same.

She proceeded to the Regional and landed at the National, returning with victory as the winner in the National Reading Competition for Basic (2) in the whole Country.

Mr Godwin Amelor, the Municipal Education Director for the Ho Municipal has congratulated Mrs Sallah Victoria, the headmistress of the Sokode Gbogame M/A Primary school and the entire staff of the school for their support in making this victory possible.

Contestants from the region include north Tongu and Volta Region’s Reading Champion, Samelia Mekporsigbe, Sonia Dzidula of Ho West and Victoria Yaotse from Ho.

The learners put up a golden performance to make Team Volta winners at the National Reading Festival organised by the Ministry of Education and USAID.
