More revelations about NOBISCO Bursar Implicated in Food Diversion Scandal

Tamale, Northern Region – November 1, 2025

The Northern School of Business (NOBISCO) has been thrust into controversy following allegations that its bursar, Madam Fidelia, diverted food supplies meant for students to her private residence.

According to sources close to the institution, police investigations uncovered large quantities of food items, including several bags of rice, stored in Madam Fidelia’s home. The discovery followed a tip-off that prompted law enforcement officers to conduct a search earlier this week.

During a follow-up operation on Thursday, authorities reportedly found an additional twenty-two bags of rice hidden in a nearby house connected to the bursar. Statements obtained from a driver at the police station further revealed that thirty-two bags of rice had been delivered to her residence on Tuesday.

The incident has sparked outrage among students and parents, who are demanding accountability and swift disciplinary action. School authorities have yet to release an official statement, but police confirm that investigations are ongoing.

Reports also suggest a similar case occurred recently in Kumbungu, Pagnaa, involving the same individual, raising further concerns about possible systemic malpractice in the distribution of school food supplies.

Education stakeholders in the Northern Region are calling for stronger oversight mechanisms to prevent such misconduct, emphasizing that the welfare of students should remain paramount in school administration.
