Accra College of Education Alumni schedules last General Meeting for December 6

The Global Executives of Accra College of Education Alumni Association have extended invitation to All the Sons and Daughters of Gye Nyame commonly referred to as “AcCE Alumni.” from 1909 to 2018 to the last General Meeting for the year 2019.

The invitation letter signed by the Global Secretary, Mr Zakaria N. Nettey, states the meeting will take place on Friday, 6th of December, 2019 which is Public Holiday in Ghana (Farmers Day) at 10:00 am.

The venue for the meeting will be the College Conference Room which may change either to the Auditorium or airy place on campus if many of the Children of Gye Nyame honour the invitation.

Issues which will be discussed at the meeting will include financial updates, new constitution of the Association, time with the College and many more.

The Executives of the Association are planning to make the Alumni Association formidable one; though anyone who completes any institutions automatically becomes a member of past students associations, many are not concerned about what happens in their institutions after taken their certificates.

The Alumni of any institution becomes the measuring rods of the success of that institution. The greatness of any institution is not about the buildings, current students, staff, financial status, but about how far the products of the institution contribute to the development of the world in their chosen careers.

The Association is expecting members from Ghana and other nations, from 1909 to 2018 graduates, currently in education sector and those who are not in the education sector, various year groups and their executives, etc.

It will be another occasion for those who have not seen their senior and junior colleagues like 1973 Year Groups who held their get together forth night ago in the College and 1998 Year Groups who celebrated their 20th graduation anniversary in December 2018 at the College Auditorium.

The Association is appealing to all members to inform any child of the College to attend this vital General Meeting on Friday.

The Association says they have received shocking news of the demise of one of the sons of Gye Nyame, the late Mr. Byron A. Ampofo who graduated from the College about two years ago. “We expressed our sympathy to the bereaved family, his year group and everyone. Decisions concerning the funeral and other arrangements will be taken at the meeting”.
