The Minister of Education, Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh on Tuesday morning, met with representatives of the Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG) at the Ministry.
This scheduled meeting follows a request by CETAG back in September 2019.
The meeting revolved around a number of issues including the fate of faith-based Colleges of Education (COEs), School Teaching Support, infrastructure development in COEs, promotion of tutors and their frozen November 2018 and March 2019 salaries.
The Minister agreed to follow on their concerns with the appropriate quarters and revert accordingly.
“It was a frank and honest exchange of views and I look forward to further engagements with a view to ensuring a cordial atmosphere on our COE campuses to promote teaching and learning.” The Minister said.
