The rankings are based on data collected from 229 senior high schools across Ghana’s 16 regions. The methodology considers:
✔ A school’s final position in the NSMQ at the national level.
✔ The category of the school, as classified by the Ghana Education Service (GES).
✔ A school’s cumulative performance over the past 12 years.
This year, any school that qualified for the national competition was automatically included in the ranking, ensuring fairness and inclusivity.

For the first time in NSMQ ranking history, St. Augustine’s College secured a top 10 position nationally, ranking 8th overall and 3rd in the Central Region.

✔ Six schools in the quarter-finals
✔ Four schools in the semi-finals

Ranking Methodology: How the Schools Were Scored
Competition Points System
✔ Schools earn points based on the final stage they reach in the NSMQ.
✔ Points are independent of actual contest scores to ensure fairness.
✔ Schools that do not qualify for the national competition receive zero points.
Category Points Adjustment
✔ Non-Category A schools get bonus points for advancing beyond the One-Eighth stage.
