The 2024 EN Analytics Top 100 Senior High School Rankings for the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) offer a comprehensive analysis of Ghana’s best-performing schools in science and mathematics. Recognized nationally and globally, this ranking serves as a key reference for students, parents, and educational institutions.

The rankings reflect academic excellence, competitive strength, and consistency in science and mathematics education, providing valuable insight into which schools are shaping Ghana’s future STEM leaders.

Understanding the 2024 Rankings

The rankings are based on data collected from 229 senior high schools across Ghana’s 16 regions. The methodology considers:

A school’s final position in the NSMQ at the national level.
The category of the school, as classified by the Ghana Education Service (GES).
A school’s cumulative performance over the past 12 years.

This year, any school that qualified for the national competition was automatically included in the ranking, ensuring fairness and inclusivity.

Mfantsipim School delivered an outstanding performance, strategically dominating their opponents in the riddle segment to secure victory. Their journey saw them defeat powerhouses like Prempeh College and Presec-Legon, marking a significant moment in NSMQ history.

2. St. Augustine’s College Breaks into the Top 10

For the first time in NSMQ ranking history, St. Augustine’s College secured a top 10 position nationally, ranking 8th overall and 3rd in the Central Region.

Six schools in the quarter-finals

Category B, C, and F schools must reach at least the Quarter-Finals to receive extra points.
