H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo Recognizes Academic Excellence at Independence Day Awards

On Friday, 1st March 2024, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, alongside Hon. Rev Ntim Fordjour, Deputy Minister for Education, and Dr. Eric Nkansah, Director-General of GES, convened for the prestigious Independence Day Awards ceremony to honor outstanding students from the 2023 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

Recognition of Excellence

A total of forty-six (46) top-performing students were recognized for their exceptional academic achievements.

Among them, thirty-six (36) awardees were selected based on their remarkable performance in the 2023 BECE, with equal representation from both male and female students in each region.

Additionally, four (4) students with Special Needs were acknowledged for their outstanding accomplishments.

Acknowledgement of Private School Achievers

In a testament to inclusivity, the awards also extended recognition to ten (10) students from various private schools across the nation. Their dedication to academic excellence and commitment to learning were duly celebrated alongside their peers.
