2022 General Prospectus For Senior High Schools in Ghana

EducationGhana| April 02| 2022 General Prospectus For Senior High Schools in Ghana:

Students are expected to come along with the following items:

  • First, every student should bring National Health Insurance Card
  • Secondly, students who do not bring with them the required number of articles will be sent home at once to collect them.
  • Also, all new students must be medically fit. They will be expected to participate in all P.E. exercises and school work. A medical examination will be conducted at the school.

Unaccepted Items For Admission 

these items are regarded as unprescribed things at senior high school in Ghana.

  • Sound systems and electrical appliances are not allowed in the boarding house.
  • No cell (mobile) phone, iPod Walkman and Discman players, Mp3s, water heater, rice cooker, stove, rechargeable lamp, fan, video and television set, laptop, etc. are permitted.
  • No case of SPECIAL DIET will be entertained
  • Parents are advised not to give excessive amounts of money to their ward as pocket money. The maximum amount should be GH₵ 50.

Prospectus For Boarding School Boys

Definitely, the prospectus for boys who are going to the boarding house differs from that of day student boys.

As a matter of fact, first-year male boarders entering Senior High Schools in Ghana in April 2022 must present the following items for admission processing:

  • Tracksuit – 1 set @ GH¢ 80
  • African print – 1 set  @ GH¢ 60
  • 1 pair of white trousers and shirts embossed with school crest @ GH¢ 75
  • 1 khaki trousers & white shirt @ GH¢ 75
  • School Cloth @ GH¢ 80
  • Exeat book @ GH¢ 5

  • Ceremonial dress Not Ready
  • Two scrubbing brushes GH₵6 each
  • 2 towels or rag (for cleaning)

  • 1 long scrubbing brush (GH₵12.each),

 

  • Two white bed sheets and 2 pillowcases (GH₵30.each)

  • 5 pairs of white socks (GH₵2.each)
  • Toilet Roll (1 pack) GH₵12

  • Two khaki shorts and two white T- shite (for after class wear)
  • One other bed sheet

 

Prospectus For Boarding School Girls

Likewise, girls who are boarders must make sure they have the following items for inspection during admission into SHS1 in Ghana:

  • Tracksuit – 1 set @ GH₵ 80
  • African print – 1 set @ GH₵ 70
  • 2 White dresses –  GH₵ 70
  • Two Green check dresses – @ GH₵ 90
  • School cloth – @ GH₵ 100
  • Ceremonial dress – Not ready

 

  • 1 pair of black Ashanti slippers (GH₵12.00)
  • Two scrubbing brushes (GH₵6.00) each
  • 2 towels or rag (for cleaning)
  • 1 cutlass/ hoe (GH₵20.each),
  • 1 mop &1 plastic long broom (GH₵10.00) each
  • 1 long scrubbing brush (GH₵12.00)

  • Tracksuit – 1 set @ GH¢ 80
  • African print – 1 set @ GH¢ 60
  • 1 pair of white trousers and shirts @ GH¢ 75
  • School cloth  @ GH¢ 80
  • Ceremonial dress Not Ready
  • One mop and plastic long broom & Two (2) towels or rag (for cleaning)
  • One (1) cutlass / 1 hoe
  • Bible

 

  • 1 Pair of the Black shoes & Standard brown sandals for classes
  • Two short scrubbing brushes & 1 long scrubbing brush
  • 1 Black belt and 1 brown
  • Health insurance (compulsory)
  • 1pair of black shoes
  • 2 pairs of white sock

 

Prospectus For Day Students Girls

Also, female day students must make sure they have the following items for inspection during admission into SHS1 in Ghana:

  • Tracksuit – 1 set @ GH¢ 80
  • African print – 1 set @ GH¢ 70
  • School cloth    @ GH¢ 100
  • Ceremonial dress Not Ready
  • Two check dresses
  • Bible

 

  • One mop and plastic long broom & Two (2) towels or rag (for cleaning)
  • Two short scrubbing brush & 1 long scrubbing brush
  • One (1) cutlass / 1 hoe
  • 2 pairs of white socks
  • Health insurance (compulsory)

 

Notably, you should realize that the general prospectus for senior high schools in Ghana listed above, may vary slightly, from school to school.

Thus, you should confirm and cross-check specifically from the school before you proceed to make procurements.

Definitely, GES allows Senior High Schools in Ghana to vary their prospectus slightly to suit situational and environmental factors in specific schools.
